Post-doctoral Fellowship Funded Position University of Toronto
The Early Psychosis Imaging Research Group at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Toronto, Canada) is recruiting a Post-doctoral Fellow (MD or PhD) to join the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) group at the Research Imaging Centre at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (RIC-CAMH).
Minimum qualifications are a doctoral degree in a molecular biology field (e.g. pharmacology, medicine, neuroscience, biology) with significant experience in endocannabinoid pharmacology, neuroinflammation, and/or stress signaling. MD degree with proven research experience in psychiatry is a plus. To be eligible to this fully funded position, candidates should already have papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, and either grants or research awards in these specific research areas. The successful candidate will have considerable expertise in imaging/computational and statistical methods, and a good working knowledge of brain anatomy and neuropharmacology. Experience in PET imaging is an asset. Good oral and written communication skills are required
The project will focus on a brain PET investigation of neurochemical events in early stages of psychosis and its prodrome.
CAMH is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching and research hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto.
