Post Doctoral Research Associate at Institute of Neurology

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position within the Department of Molecular Neuroscience based at the Institute of Neurology. Under the supervision of Professor Nicholas Wood, the postholder will undertake research in the genetics of neurological disease and assist in the routine administration associated with the running of projects.
Candidates are expected to hold a PhD or equivalent in molecular biology/biochemistry/cell biology/genetics. The role also requires an excellent understanding of molecular biology and genetics, genotyping and data analysis. Additionally, candidates are required to have knowledge of comparative genomic technologies, analysis and sequencing with a proven track record of conducting high quality research with substantial publication output.
This post is funded by the Parkinson’s Disease Society and is available immediately until 31 January 2012.
Starting salary on UCL Grade 7 in the range £28,839 – £34,435 per annum plus £2,781 London Allowance per annum, superannuable,
