Project: Evaluation and Development of Training (EDT)
National Academy for Parenting Practitioners

We would like to invite applications for the above post. The post holder will be responsible for the design and maintenance of a system for monitoring and evaluating the parent training programmes offered by the National Academy of Parenting Practitioners through the EDT team.  The post is currently funded until 31 March, 2010.

King’s College leads the Academy’s research to provide further evidence to support delivery of services to parents. The aim of the Academy’s research plan is to gather and evaluate the best quality evidence, use it to refine programmes, training and service organisation, then energetically disseminate the findings across the whole parenting workforce. The primary function of the EDT team will be to design and implement a rigorous programme of research that will evaluate the impact of training.

The successful candidate will have a good honours degree a related subject, and will have expert working knowledge of database management systems (e.g. Access) and database design; some management experience may be useful.

Starting salary in the range £32,917 to £38,855 pa (inclusive of £2,323 pa Allowance), depending on qualifications and experience.
