Ocean Conservancy is seeking a Director for our Fish Conservation Program to champion the long-term sustainability and restoration of U.S. commercial and recreational saltwater that support more than 1.7 million jobs in the nation’s blue-water economy. The ideal candidate should possess the expertise to effectively advocate priorities at the 30,000-foot level to high-level decision-makers and the public while also comfortably navigating the complex and technical nature of and natural resource management processes needed to successfully advance science and advocacy goals. The Director will work in coordination with conservation science and policy staff to identify, develop and advance relevant national and regional laws and policies and will also work with government relations, outreach and communications experts to build strong public support and political will for action.
