Our client is New Zealand’s largest contract bottler of wine. They have significant operations located in both Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough. They are committed to strategic partnerships with their clients to assist in their success.
An experienced manager is being sought to manage their contract lab. You will have overall responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of the lab, leading a team of five technicians.
This is a busy full-time role and requires some flexibility in hours to meet the demands of the business and their customers.
The successful candidate is likely to possess the following: Proven management experience within a lab environment Ability to liaise with the Production Team Sound leadership skills, understanding of HR processes High level of commercial acumen – set, monitor and achieve budgets
Ability to build customer relationships / up-sell / target and win new customers Relevant tertiary qualification – B. Food Tech, BSc or similar Wine industry experience would be an advantage
