We are seeking experienced and qualified individuals who are eager to share their knowledge and expertise in an educational environment.
Openings are available in Criminology, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Life Sciences (Biology and Chemistry), Math, Nutrition, Philosophy, Communications, Film Studies and Photography.
Sheridan professors are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.
Specific accountabilities include: . Designing, revising, and updating of course material in consultation with the program coordinator and other faculty; . Defining, evaluating and validating learning outcomes; . Designing appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning.
Qualifications: - Master’s Degree in the specified disciplinary field; PhD Degree would be considered an asset – Knowledge of industry specific software – Experience teaching curriculum at the post secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in business or industry is preferred – Demonstrable ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a broad range of students
