Imperial College London – Cardiovascular Sciences, National Heart and Lung Institute

Salary: £30,520 to £34,920 per annum

Applications are invited for a proactive and enthusiastic to produce independent and original research within the Tissue and Cell Group.

You will investigate growth and differentiation of embryonic stem cells and iPS cells and study the mechanisms of cardiovascular differentiation to understand the mechanisms of disease.

The post is laboratory-based and you must have a PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent level of professional qualification. You must have experience in growth differentiation of progenitor cells and/or embryonic stem cells and/or myocardial . You must be able to write and communicate clearly and concisely to a level consisting with reporting to peers and publication in high impact scientific journals, and be able to use initiative and judgement in carrying out research tasks. You must also be willing to work effectively and flexibly within a team.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post and is available for 36 months. You will be based at the Harefield Hospital campus.
