Visionary minds flourish at our vibrant University. From Vivienne Westwood to the designers of Princess Diana’s wedding dress, The University of Westminster has always encouraged creativity in the fashion field. We’re internationally recognised for excellent research in Art and Design. And along with our fashion resources and studios, we came first for teaching in the 2015 Business of Fashion Global Rankings (). It’s a record we’re continuing to build on, as we inspire students to illuminate, shape and lead the creative industries.

In the global fashion field, an understanding of consumer behaviour is essential. It’s why we offer a BA in Fashion Buying Merchandise with a strong emphasis on this exact subject. Undergraduates will also have the chance to study other aspects of Fashion Buying Management, such as Visual Merchandising and Styling. As a passionate, creative professional, you’ll inspire students to reach their full potential in these courses. On a part-time basis, you’ll design and plan the modules, ensuring that graduates leave with the skills and ambition to pursue a career in fashion.

You’ll have completed a PhD (or similar), and be working towards a Senior . With experience of teaching at undergraduate level, you’ll naturally evaluate teaching techniques and assessment methods, always making sure that the programmes are forward-thinking and effective. Like us, you’ll be keen to promote international recognition of the subject, actively engaging in original research activities. Along with an eye for innovative ideas and your status as a recognised expert within the field, you’ll help us to reach our 2020 vision of excellence. Your genuine enthusiasm and commitment to teaching Fashion will be infectious.
