Instructional Faculty, Chemistry

of Chemistry located at the main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee. The instructional faculty member
shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching, research/creative achievement and service
functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment
of the mission of the University, the School and the Department. The successful candidate is
expected to teach organic and general chemistry. Supervising undergraduate research and academic
advising are also expected.
The position is available August, 2012.
Qualifications;
Required: Terminal degree (PhD) in Chemistry or closely related discipline, educational preparation
in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools and evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
Preferred:
Background in physical organic chemistry or computational chemistry, undergraduate teaching
experience, supervision of undergraduate research students.
