Examples of Duties:

1. Teach lectures and laboratory sections of lower division university parallel chemistry
courses, which may include general chemistry, organic chemistry, and instrumental analysis.

2. Teach lecture and laboratory sections of preparatory courses offered by the Chemistry Department,
including chemistry for allied-health careers.

3. Teach day, evening, and/or Saturday sections at both the main and satellite campuses as needed by
the Chemistry Department.

4. Provide instruction in accordance with the Chemistry Department’s established course outlines and
the College Catalog.

5. Participate in department and college functions, such as staff meetings, committee work, faculty
evaluations, curriculum development, shared governance and others.

6. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
