Job Title (Limited Term)
Job Description This position will support the research effort of the Center for Shock Wave-processing of Advanced Reactive Materials(C-SWARM). The mission of C-SWARM is to develop a high performance model that predicts the behavior of heterogeneous materials, specifically the dynamics of their shock induced chemo-thermo-mechanical tranformations and resulting material properties. The will be responsible for managing varying research efforts connected with C-SWARM. This will include the development and implementation of adaptive, multiscale, high-performance (parallel) computational algorithms for uncertainty quantification in the context of chemo-thermo-mechanical partial differential equations with emphasis on complex heterogeneous materials.

A preferred candidate has been identified for this position.

Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree in Mechanical and or related field
Continuum mechanics and computational experience
Preferred Qualifications (*LI-DNP)
