Job Summary: The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Texas AM
University-Kingsville (TAMUK) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor
position in the area of thermal science and materials. Provide excellent customer service. The
position is available starting August 2012.

Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad
range of mechanical engineering courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, develop an
externally funded research program, and participate in recruiting new students, mentoring, and
advising both graduate and undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must posses a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or
equivalent from a regionally accredited institution or university; and posses excellent written and
verbal communication skills. The candidate must have 18 graduate hours for every field in which they
will teach.
