Statistics and Numeracy Support Assistant

Part time 50% fte, term time only, fixed term for 2 years
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the School of Geography’s teaching team. You will work with colleagues in the School to provide support for undergraduate students specifically in the areas of mathematics and statistics relevant to their programme of study (both physical and human geography). You will provide individual meetings with students in order to help them to develop strategies to improve their numeracy and you will also input into the design/re-design of modules which specifically aim to deliver numeracy skills.
You will be able to demonstrate experience and skill in teaching numeracy/mathematics, and particularly statistics, at A-level or above. You will be committed to providing numerical support to Geography students in a form which emphasises its relevance, and is tailored to its use in geographical contexts.
University Grade 6 (£24,370 – £29,099 p.a. pro rata)
