We seek scientists whose research focuses on one or more of the following themes using modern and novel experimental approaches: Development of the Nervous System, Structure, Connectivity, and Plasticity of the Nervous System, Sensory Systems, Chronobiology, Aging, Neurodegeneration, and Stem Cells. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a strong, externally funded research program, to engage in intramural collaborative projects, to supervise graduate students, and to teach basic and advanced courses in the area of Neurobiology. Applicants should send their CV, three letters of recommendation, vision statements on research and teaching, and selected publications to Magda Giordano, giordano [at] servidor.unam [.] mx no later than October 31 st. The Instituto de Neurobiología (www.inb.unam.mx) is located at about 20 km from Querétaro’s historic colonial downtown, and it is an important part of the effort to decentralize scientific activities in Mexico.
