The Social Care Workforce Research Unit (SCWRU) is part of the Policy Institute at King’s within the School of Social Science & Public Policy. It is core funded by the Department of Health (DH). SCWRU has been conducting research into policy relating to the social care workforce in England since 2002. The Unit develops research knowledge and disseminates the findings to policymakers, service providers, practitioners and service user and carer groups.
The Research Associate will be employed on a study investigating adults at risk and gambling. The post holder will be involved in conducting the study evidence synthesis/literature review, applying for ethical review and design and analysis of a survey to be sent to adult safeguarding managers in England.
The post is part-time, 3 days a week from May/June 2016 for one year initially.
The person appointed will work in the Social Care Workforce Research Unit and be a member of a research team that is conducting an exciting new study on adults at risk and gambling. The post holder will be involved in conducting a synthesis of evidence/literature review and undertaking a survey of adult safeguarding managers in England.
The job will be located at the Strand Campus.
Interviews will be held on the 27 April 2016.

The appointment will be made at Grade 6 (60% FTE), currently £32,600 per annum, pro rata, plus £2,323 per annum, pro rata London Allowance.
Fixed term contract for 12 months.
