Meeting background

As part of the recently launched International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) the Medical Research Council also launched a call for MRC mouse networks where groups of UK based researchers could form consortia around particular areas of research. Members of the respiratory research community formed the ‘Respiratory Development and Disease Consortium’ to consolidate and develop respiratory phenotyping methods suitable for high throughput screening.

The aim of this workshop is to inform the respiratory research community about the IMPC and to interest more researchers, both junior and senior, in joining the Respiratory Development and Disease Consortium. The workshop will provide expert knowledge in different aspects of mouse and will introduce the wider respiratory community to the IMPC and the MRC mouse networks including the Respiratory Development and Disease Research Consortium.
